Video gaming just got a WHOLE lot better
If you're a big time video gamer, you're about to get VERY excited.
Newsful managed to find this article from HTXT.Africa about a new graphics engine that will turn video gaming into near-perfect reality.
The video below is not a video of an house -- it’s a computer generated video built using the latest version of Unreal Engine 4.
Every gamer knows that the most difficult thing for programmers to get right, is the lighting conditions. In other words, when you're playing Need for Speed or Big World, you're acutely aware that the surroundings you're playing in are digital.
But Unreal Engine 4 has changed ALL of that.
This demo was programmed by Dereau Benoît. He has proved that 3D technology in gaming can be fine tuned to reflect reality. It's hard to fathom that this kind of attention to detail is possible, but more than that, it is a wonderful promise of things to come.
Without further ado... The future of gaming!
