#SavedByTheDogs wants YOU!
Cape Town - Sometimes we all need a little saving from the humdrum of daily life. The TEARS Animal Rescue & Hill’s #savedbythedogs project invites the city’s workers to take a monthly breather from the office blues to spend a little time with TEARS’ four-legged superheroes in The Company’s Garden, central Cape Town. Canine rescuers don’t need spandex or super-powers; the healing qualities of a wet nose and wagging tail are well documented. Spending time with the TEARS’ rescue dogs may be enough to brighten your day and possibly your life.
“#savedbythedogs is a TEARS Animal Rescue and Hill’s initiative inspired by an Australian dog shelter’s ‘Human Walking Programme’, says Luke Kruyt, TEARS Animal Care and Media Manager. “Our goal is to change people’s perception of rescue dogs; rather than unwanted castaways our pooches are superheroes in the making, who could transform your life with love and companionship.”
#savedbythedogs is happening once a month with the next outing on Wednesday 15 July, from 11am to 2pm. For info and dates follow #savedbythedogs or contact TEARS Animal Rescue on 021 785 4482 / 061 722 7903 / bit.ly/savedbythedogs.
