Oscar's murder appeal in layman terms

Johannesburg - By now, you would have learned that Oscar Pistorius has appealed his murder conviction at the Constitutional Court. This is the highest court of the land, trumping even the Supreme Court of Appeals (SCA), who overturned High Court judge Thokozile Masipa's ruling that Mr. Pistorius was guilty of culpable homicide. The SCA found that the athlete was guilty of murder saying he resolved within himself to eliminate the person in the toilet whom he believed to be an intruder. The SCA's ruling put an end to speculation that Mr. Pistorius intended to murder Reeva Steenkamp.

As predicted, the once lauded sporting hero challenged the SCA's ruling. But on what grounds?

Legal journalist and author of several books Karyn Maughan broke it down on Twitter today.
