More 'smart' classrooms for govt schools
Johannesburg - The Gauteng Department of Education is expected to roll out more paperless classrooms on Tuesday
Yesterday, the Department said it was extending a learning app that it has acquired, to Grade 12's at 375 high schools across the province.
Department spokesperson Phumla Sekhonyane said the app uses interactive smart boards for teachers and either tablet computers or laptops for the students. Wifi connectivity is also installed in the classrooms.
Tomorrow's installation is expected to be introduced to mainly township and rural areas of Gauteng.
