Millions fall for 'fluent American' video
Johannesburg - She sets herself up in her room, looking distressed and flips on the camera. Her material is completely contrived and is so well delivered that it makes fools out of millions of people who watch her "fluent American" video, which is actually entitled. "England is confusing".
In the post, which has gone globally viral, the unnamed girl, confides in a vlog about a language barrier she and her guy friend from England are having. In particular, she speaks about being fluent in American while her friend speaks British. She takes a literal approach to currency, using the Great British Pound to mean "weight" and the possibility of an increased gravitational pull in England.
Newsful has discovered the unnamed actress is Pupinia Stewart, a self-proclaimed comedian who is still in school. It's Miss Stewart however, who is having the last laugh, because it would seem a majority of viewers of the parody failed to catch the joke or that it was a skit.
In finding her, Newsful, discovered that Miss Stewart is part of a few youngsters who perform solo vlog acts under the YouTube channel -- Our Third Life. Roniha Rickett and Schmitty Winkleson are other members of the team. Our Third Life also recently hosted auditions for new members to join their team.
Newsful has made contact with the group, but at the time of publishing, they had not responded to a request for an interview.
It's unclear whether the post is intended to capture the attention of Hollywood executives or is just a hobby.
According to an office poll at Newsful, we feel that if one's performance is convincing enough to make the audience believe it is authentic, the goal has been achieved.
